Pilot Survey

This week I created a pilot survey that I sent to the MAS212 class to fill out at the end of the survey I put some questions asking if they thought the survey was confusing, How long it took them to fill it out and if they found any of it racist and took offence to it.

Desk Review

Today we did a desk review about my survey draft that I have to done. I found out that my survey is pretty good and I know what my purpose of the survey is and what I'm doing. What I have found out with my survey is that I should try to get some more advanced questions that will be more helpful because at the moment there pretty much basic questions and some of them have no purpose. My survey is also simple and will not be difficult for the person that wants to fill it out.

First Draft AS91263

My first draft about the Greymouth High School survey is completed. To make people comfortable and to not stress them out about the survey I started with a few questions about themself asking what their relation to the school was and where about they live.

I then went on to ask them if they are satisfied with the website and what they would rate it. I also asked them why they gave it that mark so we can find out what is good about the website. Also, they might say what needs to be done to get it to the next mark which is good.

I then decided I would ask them what they are looking for on the website and if they are able to find what they are looking for and if they would recommend it to another parent if they need help because using the website could be the difference of ringing the school office.

Structure and design of my survey

The next part of my assessment is to begin design my own questionnaire starting with the questions that I am going to use. I have uses the Stats NZ website using the article "methodological Standard" to help me with the method of designing a survey.

What is genocide?

It is an action to destroy people in whole or port

Why did genocide happen in Rwanda?

Because the president's plane was shot down and they blamed it on the Hutu and they were sick of being blamed and lost control

What do you think we can do to try and stop genocide happening?

We could have an early warning system so if the military thinks that there is going to be a genocide they could warn everyone so they could leave if they want to.

In media studies, I am applying for the marketing department because I am good at talking to people and making posters and I also like to make films.

Media Studies

In media studies, we are making a film of a guy riding his motorbike and he falls off and he has to have brain surgery (Fake of course) The surgeon is going to have a fake McDonalds fork and knife and pretend to cut his head open. I think that if we do it right it will be pretty funny.

Mandarin

When I first started this class I thought it was going to be pretty boring but its not that bad because we have got to watch some videos and the teacher is pretty chill with us doing our work in what ever way we want I think learning about the Chinese new year will be pretty cool I have also learnt how to have a basic conversation in Mandarin which is cool.

We made a low fuel meter so when the fuel gets low the ruler moves up and touches the tin foil that turns on the light we had to change a few things but it works really well

PMI:
I found this electricity unit pretty awesome when we got to make things. It was boring when we had to sit there and watch videos and listen about it. Over all it was pretty awesome when we got to make our fuel meter and watch electric explosions and stuff.

Music Performance Goals

This week we need to play in the right volume because sometimes we play in the wrong volume and a instrument over powers.

Last week Our group did pretty good Isaac made the drums sound a lot better and we all had the same volume and we were in time most of the time and when we did it right it sounded pretty good. We I had a go at listening and I thought that we could turn the bass down a bit or turn the guitar up. What I think that we could make better is just keep working on it and get a bit better timing because sometimes we mess up and we go out of time for a bit.

Getting to play in time with Sam because sometimes we can get a bit out of time

How is music used?

Music is used all the time on the radio it used on TV on ads movies. We can use it to entertain us and we can use it to make things sound a lot more entertaining and catching peoples attentions they would be like "I like that song" and and will have a look at what is playing and if its a ad they will most likely end up watching the end of the ad.

Chord Learning

Today we were learning about chords. Chords are made up of a 2 of notes. a major chord is a nice happy sounding chord and the minor chord is the boring/sad chords. Today we were playing the chords on the Piano and the Guitar Kade and I were using the guitars we had a group of chords to pick from they were.

Music Reflection

Today we have been learning about the areas of music and when they were and we had to find a YouTube clip on that area of music it was pretty cool because I had never heard of them. The mean purpose of today was to learn about a structural chat so we done Epic sax guy and we put down the instruments and write down there beat the point is so you can read and write music
