Mandarin

When I first started this class I thought it was going to be pretty boring but its not that bad because we have got to watch some videos and the teacher is pretty chill with us doing our work in what ever way we want I think learning about the Chinese new year will be pretty cool I have also learnt how to have a basic conversation in Mandarin which is cool.

We made a low fuel meter so when the fuel gets low the ruler moves up and touches the tin foil that turns on the light we had to change a few things but it works really well

PMI:
I found this electricity unit pretty awesome when we got to make things. It was boring when we had to sit there and watch videos and listen about it. Over all it was pretty awesome when we got to make our fuel meter and watch electric explosions and stuff.

Music Performance Goals

This week we need to play in the right volume because sometimes we play in the wrong volume and a instrument over powers.

Last week Our group did pretty good Isaac made the drums sound a lot better and we all had the same volume and we were in time most of the time and when we did it right it sounded pretty good. We I had a go at listening and I thought that we could turn the bass down a bit or turn the guitar up. What I think that we could make better is just keep working on it and get a bit better timing because sometimes we mess up and we go out of time for a bit.

Music Performance

We need to blog to things that we need to work on and these are to things that I need to work on

Getting to play in time with Sam because sometimes we can get a bit out of time
Making sure my volume is right because i can be to quite sometimes
Group thing having to right volume because the drums can be far to loud sometimes

How is music used?

Music is used all the time on the radio it used on TV on ads movies. We can use it to entertain us and we can use it to make things sound a lot more entertaining and catching peoples attentions they would be like "I like that song" and and will have a look at what is playing and if its a ad they will most likely end up watching the end of the ad.

Chord Learning

Today we were learning about chords. Chords are made up of a 2 of notes. a major chord is a nice happy sounding chord and the minor chord is the boring/sad chords. Today we were playing the chords on the Piano and the Guitar Kade and I were using the guitars we had a group of chords to pick from they were.

We had to learn them and play them to our partner and they had to guess what one we were playing.

Music Reflection

Today we have been learning about the areas of music and when they were and we had to find a YouTube clip on that area of music it was pretty cool because I had never heard of them. The mean purpose of today was to learn about a structural chat so we done Epic sax guy and we put down the instruments and write down there beat the point is so you can read and write music

Music Research (Connor/Kade)

Classical Music

Classical Music is plain and boring and its does not sound exciting. It was all old instruments that were made in 1600 and started to end in about 1820. To me it sounds really boring and i would like something with some more excitement and more upbeat. It is mostly flute and sounds odd they need to get a guitar in there or something

Baroque Music

Baroque music instruments were bass lute violin oboe bassoon and recorder harpsichord. The time of the baroque music where 1600 to 1750. The baroque music used a harpsichord was like a piano but instead of the strings getting hit with a hammer like thing. The harpsichords strings used a lever with a pick to make the strings make noise.

Health Shift Happens

For health we were talk to talk about one of the things that impacted us the most in life.

Mine would be having to having surgery when I was a baby because if I didn't I could have died because one of the tubes your food goes though that tube for me was to small so when I would have something to eat or dink I would vomit it back up After about 2 to 5 minutes so that would mean that I was getting no food into my stomach so if my parents didn't take me back to the hospital I would have starved to death or something like that. So after my parents had taking me to the hospital I had to go over to Christchurch hospital have have surgery don't forgot that I was only about 2 or 3 days old here. So they cut me open and made that tube bigger. So now a have a scar on my stomach. 

Jack (My Brother) And I have a joke that is. I Ate his muffin and when I was asleep he wanted to get it back so he tried to cut it out
